Upcoming

March 15, 2009 at Weathervane Music Hall, 19 Elliot St., Brattleboro VT
8 p.m.

An open rehearsal and free show for the hometown crowd. (We'll pass the hat.) Many people enjoy watching rehearsals even more than concerts, because the musicians are relaxed and you can see the creative process in action. Hopefully we'll be doing this regularly.

ZABAP, EUGENE UMAN'S LATIN JAZZ PROJECT, AND THE NORTHERN HORNS
April 11. 2009 at Calder Auditorium, Putney School, Putney VT
8 p.m.

A collaborative concert featuring Julian's songs for Zabap, Eugene Uman's compositions based on Columbian folklore, and three stellar horn players from the University of Vermont in Burlington: Rey Vega, salsa trumpeter extraordinaire, Alex Stewart on saxophone, and Rick Davies, trombone. Ray, Alex, and Rick already collaborate with Steve Ferraris in the group Jazzisimo, and they'll be adding their compositions to the evening. This will be a big band with lots of energy and variety!
